CONS INDICATION
- Hypersensitive to penicillinCaution:History of allergy; renal impairment; reddish spots on the glandular fever (glandular fever), cytomegalovirus infection; leukimis chronic lymphocytic, and the possibility of HIV infection; maintain adequate hydration at high doses (risk of crystalluria); pregnancy and lactation.
- Pregnancy and meyusui:Not known to be harmful in pregnancy; in very small amount of breast milk (trace amount)
DOSE
Infection by organisms sensitive; orally, adults and children over 10 years, 250 mg every 8 hours, can be duplicated in severe infections. Children over 10 years, 125 mg every 8 hours, doubled in severe infections doses.Severe respiratory tract infections or recurrent severe purulenta, by mouth, adult 3g every 12 hoursPneumonia, by mouth, adult 0.5 to 1 g every 8 hoursTooth abscess (short duration), by mouth, adult 3 g repeated once after 8 hoursUrinary tract infections (short duration), by mouth, adult 3 g repeated once after 10-12 hoursGenital chlamydial infection is not complicated, non-gonococcal urethritis, by mouth, 500mg every 8 hoursGonorrhea (short doses), by mouth, adult 3 g single dose (with probenecid 1 g)Otitis media, by mouth, adult 1 g every 8 hours; children 40mg/kg daily in 3 divided doses (maximum of 3 g day).
SIDE EFFECTS
nausea, vomiting, diarrhea; redness or toxic response; can be a serious reaction, discontinue treatment); hypersensitivity reactions including urticaria, angioedema, anaphylaxis, serum sickness-like reactions, hemolytic anemia, interstitial nephritis; rare: Antibiotic associated colitis; neutropenia;thrombocytopenia, coagulation disorders; central nervous system disorders including seizures related to high doses or impaired renal function.
DRUG INTERACTION
- Allupurinol : Increasing risk of rash when administered together with amoxicillinor ampicillin allupurinol
- Antibacterial : phenoxymetilpenicilin Absorption reduced by neomycin
- Anticoagulation INR can be disrupted by broad-spectrum penicillin such asampicillin, although the study failed to show interactions with coumarin orphenindione Penicillin.
- Probenecid Expenditure / penicillin excretion is reduced by probenecid (low risk)
- Estrogen may reduce the contraceptive effect of estrogen
- Spending Sulfinpirazone penicillin reduced by sulfinpirazon
- Citotoksik reduce expenditures metotrexate (increased risk of toxicity)
